19. 19The midwives said to Pharaoh, “Because the Hebrew women aren’t like the Egyptian women; for they are vigorous, and give birth before the midwife comes to them.”
20. 20God dealt well with the midwives, and the people multiplied, and grew very mighty.
21. 21Because the midwives feared God, he gave them families.
22. 22Pharaoh commanded all his people, saying, “You shall cast every son who is born into the river, and every daughter you shall save alive.”

14. 14The officers of the children of Israel, whom Pharaoh’s taskmasters had set over them, were beaten, and demanded, “Why haven’t you fulfilled your quota both yesterday and today, in making brick as before?”
15. 15Then the officers of the children of Israel came and cried to Pharaoh, saying, “Why do you deal this way with your servants?
16. 16No straw is given to your servants, and they tell us, ‘Make brick!’ and behold, your servants are beaten; but the fault is in your own people.”
17. 17But he said, “You are idle! You are idle! Therefore you say, ‘Let us go and sacrifice to Yahweh.’
18. 18Go therefore now, and work, for no straw shall be given to you, yet you shall deliver the same number of bricks!”
19. 19The officers of the children of Israel saw that they were in trouble, when it was said, “You shall not diminish anything from your daily quota of bricks!”
20. 20They met Moses and Aaron, who stood in the way, as they came out from Pharaoh:
21. 21and they said to them, “May Yahweh look at you, and judge, because you have made us a stench to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to kill us.”
22. 22Moses returned to Yahweh, and said, “Lord, why have you brought trouble on this people? Why is it that you have sent me?
23. 23For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in your name, he has brought trouble on this people; and you have not rescued your people at all.”

After the crushing disappointment of Exodus 5, God does not rebuke Moses. Instead, He speaks promise again — stronger, clearer, more personal. “I will bring you out... I will take you as Mine.”

29. 29Moses said, “Behold, I go out from you, and I will pray to Yahweh that the swarms of flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people, tomorrow; only don’t let Pharaoh deal deceitfully any more in not letting the people go to sacrifice to Yahweh.”
30. 30Moses went out from Pharaoh, and prayed to Yahweh.
31. 31Yahweh did according to the word of Moses, and he removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people. There remained not one.

This track sits at the theological center of the plagues narrative. God is not just reacting — He is revealing. Even as the plagues grow more severe (boils, then devastating hail and fire), God makes His purpose clear: Pharaoh has been raised up so that the whole world would hear of the power and name of the God of Israel.

This track is cold, mechanical, and suffocating — exactly like the darkness it describes. The music literally “breathes” through heavy side-chain compression, creating a physical sense of being trapped in thick, oppressive blackness.

This is the heaviest, most somber track on the album. After nine escalating plagues, the final judgment comes in the form of death visiting every house in Egypt — except those marked by the blood of the lamb.

This track has incredible forward momentum and tension. It feels like a cinematic heist — urgent, precise, and high-stakes. The instructions for the Passover are delivered with staccato urgency, while the midnight judgment lands with terrifying weight.

This track has a wonderful earthy, joyful, caravan-like energy. After the heavy darkness and judgment of the previous tracks, this one feels like the morning after — full of movement, purpose, and celebration.

This track has a wonderful swampy, theatrical, almost comedic energy in places (especially the “It’s gonna stiiiiiink!” section). It captures the very human reality of grumbling even after miraculous deliverance.

18. 18When they measured it with an omer, he who gathered much had nothing over, and he who gathered little had no lack. They gathered every man according to his eating.

25. 25Moses said, “Eat that today, for today is a Sabbath to Yahweh. Today you shall not find it in the field.
26. 26Six days you shall gather it, but on the seventh day is the Sabbath. In it there shall be none.”
27. 27On the seventh day, some of the people went out to gather, and they found none.
28. 28Yahweh said to Moses, “How long do you refuse to keep my commandments and my laws?
29. 29Behold, because Yahweh has given you the Sabbath, therefore he gives you on the sixth day the bread of two days. Everyone stay in his place. Let no one go out of his place on the seventh day.”
30. 30So the people rested on the seventh day.
31. 31The house of Israel called its name Manna, and it was like coriander seed, white; and its taste was like wafers with honey.
32. 32Moses said, “This is the thing which Yahweh has commanded, ‘Let an omer-full of it be kept throughout your generations, that they may see the bread with which I fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you out of the land of Egypt.’”
33. 33Moses said to Aaron, “Take a pot, and put an omer-full of manna in it, and lay it up before Yahweh, to be kept throughout your generations.”
34. 34As Yahweh commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept.
35. 35The children of Israel ate the manna forty years, until they came to an inhabited land. They ate the manna until they came to the borders of the land of Canaan.
36. 36Now an omer is one tenth of an ephah.

4. 4He received what they handed him, fashioned it with an engraving tool, and made it a molten calf. Then they said, “These are your gods, Israel, which brought you up out of the land of Egypt.”
5. 5When Aaron saw this, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made a proclamation, and said, “Tomorrow shall be a feast to Yahweh.”
6. 6They rose up early on the next day, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.
7. 7Yahweh spoke to Moses, “Go, get down; for your people, who you brought up out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves!

14. 14Yahweh repented of the evil which he said he would do to his people.
15. 15Moses turned, and went down from the mountain, with the two tablets of the testimony in his hand; tablets that were written on both their sides; on the one side and on the other they were written.
16. 16The tablets were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, engraved on the tablets.
17. 17When Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said to Moses, “There is the noise of war in the camp.”
18. 18He said, “It isn’t the voice of those who shout for victory. It is not the voice of those who cry for being overcome; but the noise of those who sing that I hear.”
19. 19As soon as he came near to the camp, he saw the calf and the dancing. Then Moses’ anger grew hot, and he threw the tablets out of his hands, and broke them beneath the mountain.
20. 20He took the calf which they had made, and burned it with fire, ground it to powder, and scattered it on the water, and made the children of Israel drink it.
21. 21Moses said to Aaron, “What did these people do to you, that you have brought a great sin on them?”
22. 22Aaron said, “Don’t let the anger of my lord grow hot. You know the people, that they are set on evil.

29. 29Moses said, “Consecrate yourselves today to Yahweh, yes, every man against his son, and against his brother; that he may give you a blessing today.”

31. 31He made bars of acacia wood; five for the boards of the one side of the tabernacle,
32. 32and five bars for the boards of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the tabernacle for the hinder part westward.
33. 33He made the middle bar to pass through in the middle of the boards from the one end to the other.
34. 34He overlaid the boards with gold, and made their rings of gold as places for the bars, and overlaid the bars with gold.
35. 35He made the veil of blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen: with cherubim. He made it the work of a skillful workman.
36. 36He made four pillars of acacia for it, and overlaid them with gold. Their hooks were of gold. He cast four sockets of silver for them.

18. 18There were six branches going out of its sides: three branches of the lamp stand out of its one side, and three branches of the lamp stand out of its other side:

23. 23The opening of the robe in the middle of it was like the opening of a coat of mail, with a binding around its opening, that it should not be torn.

25. 25They made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates around the skirts of the robe, between the pomegranates;
26. 26a bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, around the skirts of the robe, to minister in, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
27. 27They made the coats of fine linen of woven work for Aaron, and for his sons,

This is the quiet climax of the album. After all the construction, the garments, the offerings, and the instructions, the presence of God Himself arrives. The track remains restrained and intimate because the weight of glory does not require volume — it requires reverence. The cloud and the fire become the ongoing guidance for the people of God.
