The Enemy laughed... a hollow, metallic sound...
"He only loves You... for the wall You put 'round." (Job 1:10 NLT)

WATCH THE PURITY... TURN TO HUNGER AND NEED! (Job 1:11 NLT)

Job Two: Trials of Flesh and Spirit
Again the Court met... on the edge of the sky. (Job 2:1 NLT)
"He’s still upright," the Voice said... "and you know why." (Job 2:3 NLT)
The Enemy hissed... "It’s just skin for skin... (Job 2:4 NLT)
But touch his own bone... and the curse will begin. (Job 2:5 NLT)
Let the sickness... burn through the marrow and vein." (Job 2:5 NLT)
The Voice said, "Go... but his life must remain." (Job 2:6 NLT)
So Job sat down... in the gray of the pyre... (Job 2:8 NLT)
Scraping his skin... in the shadow of the fire. (Job 2:8 NLT)
SHALL WE TAKE THE HARVEST! AND NOT TAKE THE RUST? (Job 2:10 NLT)

Job Three: Curse the Dawn
Let the day perish... where I first drew my breath. (Job 3:3 NLT)
Let the darkness wrap it... in the garment of death. (Job 3:4-5 NLT)
Don't let the stars of the twilight... show any glow. (Job 3:9 NLT)
Don't let the dawn... ever start to flow. (Job 3:9 NLT)
Because it didn't shut the doors... of the mother's room. (Job 3:10 NLT)
And hide the sorrow... from the quiet of the tomb. (Job 3:10 NLT)
THE THING I FEARED! HAS FALLEN ON MY HEAD! (Job 3:25 NLT)

Job Four: Visions of the Night
"If a man tries a word... will you turn away? (Job 4:2 NLT)
But who can keep silent... with so much to say? (Job 4:2 NLT)
You’ve been the pillar... the one who held the weak. (Job 4:3-4 NLT)
But now it hits your bone... and your heart is looking bleak. (Job 4:5 NLT)
Is not your fear of God... the anchor of your soul? (Job 4:6 NLT)
Or is there a crack... in the middle of the bowl?" (Job 4:6 NLT)
"In the thoughts of the night... when the deep sleep falls. (Job 4:13 NLT)
A fear came over me... crawling up the walls. (Job 4:14 NLT)
My bones began to shake... a spirit passed my sight. (Job 4:15 NLT)
The hair on my skin... stood up in the fright. (Job 4:15 NLT)
It stood still... but the face was a blur. (Job 4:16 NLT)
In the silence of the room... I heard the shadow stir." (Job 4:16 NLT)
CAN A MORTAL MAN! BE JUST BEFORE THE KING? (Job 4:17 NLT)

Job Five: Born to Trouble
"Call out now... is there anyone to hear? (Job 5:1 NLT)
To which of the holy ones... will you turn your ear? (Job 5:1 NLT)
For wrath kills the foolish man... and envy slays the weak. (Job 5:2 NLT)
I have seen the foolish... taking the root they seek. (Job 5:3 NLT)
But suddenly... I cursed his place of rest. (Job 5:3 NLT)
His children are crushed... in the gate of the test." (Job 5:4 NLT)
FOR MAN IS BORN TO TROUBLE! AS THE SPARKS FLY HIGH! (Job 5:7 NLT)
BORN TO THE SORROW! BENEATH THE HEAVY SKY! (Job 5:7 NLT)
I WOULD SEEK UNTO GOD! I WOULD LEAVE IT IN HIS HAND! (Job 5:8 NLT)
THE ONE WHO DOES THE WONDERS! THAT NO MAN CAN UNDERSTAND! (Job 5:9 NLT)
"He gives the rain... upon the face of the earth. (Job 5:10 NLT)
He sets the lowly on high... and gives the mourning birth. (Job 5:11 NLT)
He traps the wise... in their own clever net. (Job 5:13 NLT)
They meet with the darkness... before the sun has set. (Job 5:14 NLT)
But He saves the poor... from the edge of the sword. (Job 5:15 NLT)
So the weak have hope... in the shadow of the Lord." (Job 5:16 NLT)
"Behold... happy is the man... whom God corrects today. (Job 5:17 NLT)
So don't despise the hand... that takes the breath away. (Job 5:17 NLT)
For He makes the wound... and He binds it up tight. (Job 5:18 NLT)
He breaks the bone... but He makes the spirit right." (Job 5:18 NLT)
Job Six: Withered Arrows
"Oh, that my grief... were thoroughly weighed. (Job 6:2 NLT)
And my calamity... in the balances were laid! (Job 6:2 NLT)
For now it would be heavier... than the sand of the shore. (Job 6:3 NLT)
Therefore my words... are swallowed in the roar. (Job 6:3 NLT)
For the arrows of the King... are within my soul. (Job 6:4 NLT)
The poison drinks my spirit... and takes the heavy toll." (Job 6:4 NLT)
OH THAT I MIGHT HAVE! THE THING THAT I REQUEST! (Job 6:8 NLT)
THAT GOD WOULD GRANT ME! THE FINAL PLACE OF REST! (Job 6:8 NLT)
THAT HE WOULD LET LOOSE! HIS HAND UPON THE THREAD! (Job 6:9 NLT)
AND CUT THE CORD! OF THE LIVING AND THE DEAD! (Job 6:9 NLT)
"To him that is afflicted... pity should be shown. (Job 6:14 NLT)
But you, my brothers... have hearts of heavy stone. (Job 6:15 NLT)
You are like a brook... that vanishes in the heat. (Job 6:15-17 NLT)
A stream that disappears... beneath the traveler's feet. (Job 6:17 NLT)
You see my casting down... and you are afraid. (Job 6:21 NLT)
Did I ask for your gold? Did I ask for the aid?" (Job 6:22 NLT)
"Teach me, and I’ll be quiet... show me where I stray. (Job 6:24 NLT)
How forceful are right words... in the middle of the day! (Job 6:25 NLT)
But what does your arguing... actually prove? (Job 6:25 NLT)
Is there any taste... in the white of the egg you move? (Job 6:6 NLT)
Is there any truth... in the breath you spend? (Job 6:26 NLT)
Or are you just talking... to the rushing of the wind?" (Job 6:26 NLT)
Job Seven: Fleeting Shadow
"Is there not a set time... for man upon the earth? (Job 7:1 NLT)
Like a slave who wants the shade... since the moment of his birth? (Job 7:2 NLT)
I am made to possess... months of vanity and pain. (Job 7:3 NLT)
Wearisome nights... are appointed like the rain. (Job 7:3 NLT)
When I lie down, I say... 'When shall I arise?' (Job 7:4 NLT)
My flesh is clothed with dust... and the worms are in my eyes." (Job 7:5 NLT)
MY DAYS ARE SWIFTER! THAN A WEAVER’S THREAD! (Job 7:6 NLT)
SPENT WITHOUT THE HOPE! IN THE VALLEY OF THE DEAD! (Job 7:6 NLT)
OH REMEMBER! THAT MY LIFE IS BUT A WIND! (Job 7:7 NLT)
THE EYE SHALL SEE NO MORE! THE PLACES I HAVE BEEN! (Job 7:7 NLT)
"I will not curb my mouth... I will speak in my despair. (Job 7:11 NLT)
Am I a sea... or a monster in the air? (Job 7:12 NLT)
That You set a watch... over everything I do? (Job 7:12 NLT)
When I say my bed shall comfort me... I am terrified by You. (Job 7:13-14 NLT)
You scare me with the dreams... and the visions in the night. (Job 7:14 NLT)
So that my soul... chooses strangling over light." (Job 7:15 NLT)
Job Eight: Roots of Righteousness
"How long will you speak these things, Job? (Job 8:2 NLT)
And your words be like a wind... blowing through the globe? (Job 8:2 NLT)
Does the Great One... pervert the right? (Job 8:3 NLT)
Does the Almighty... mess with the light? (Job 8:3 NLT)
If your children sinned... they were cast away. (Job 8:4 NLT)
For the weight... of the price they had to pay." (Job 8:4 NLT)
CAN THE RUSH GROW UP! WITHOUT THE MIRE? (Job 8:11 NLT)
CAN THE REED FLOURISH! WITHOUT THE FIRE? (Job 8:11 NLT)
SO ARE THE PATHS! OF ALL WHO FORGET! (Job 8:13 NLT)
THE HOPE OF THE FOOL! IS A TRAP THAT IS SET! (Job 8:13-14 NLT)
"He leans upon his house... but it shall not stand. (Job 8:15 NLT)
He holds it fast... but it slips through his hand. (Job 8:15 NLT)
He is green before the sun... his roots wrap the stone. (Job 8:16-17 NLT)
But when he is destroyed... he is no longer known. (Job 8:18-19 NLT)
Behold... this is the joy of his way. (Job 8:19 NLT)
And out of the earth... others shall grow today." (Job 8:19 NLT)
"God will not cast away... a perfect man. (Job 8:20 NLT)
Nor will He help... the evil-doer's hand. (Job 8:20 NLT)
Till He fills your mouth with laughing... and your lips with a shout. (Job 8:21 NLT)
But those who hate you... shall be clothed in doubt." (Job 8:22 NLT)
Job Nine: Unsearchable Power
"I know it is so of a truth... I see the way it lies. (Job 9:2 NLT)
But how should man be just... in the Great One’s eyes? (Job 9:2 NLT)
If a man would dare to speak... to make a legal stand... (Job 9:3 NLT)
He couldn't answer once in a thousand... to the Power of the Hand. (Job 9:3 NLT)
He is wise in heart... and mighty in His strength. (Job 9:4 NLT)
Who has hardened himself against Him... and gone the full length?" (Job 9:4 NLT)
FOR HE IS NOT A MAN! AS I AM A MAN! (Job 9:32 NLT)
THAT I SHOULD ANSWER! OR EVEN HOLD HIS HAND! (Job 9:32 NLT)
THERE IS NO ARBITER! TO STAND BETWEEN THE TWO! (Job 9:33 NLT)
TO LAY HIS HAND ON ME! AND LAY HIS HAND ON YOU! (Job 9:33 NLT)
"He moves the mountains... and they do not even know. (Job 9:5 NLT)
He overturns the pillars... in the places down below. (Job 9:6 NLT)
He shakes the earth out of her place... till the foundations cry. (Job 9:6 NLT)
He commands the sun... and locks the doors of the sky. (Job 9:7 NLT)
He walks alone... upon the waves of the sea. (Job 9:8 NLT)
He makes the stars... and the dark is His decree." (Job 9:9 NLT)
"Behold... He goes by me... and I do not see the form. (Job 9:11 NLT)
He passes on... in the center of the storm. (Job 9:11 NLT)
If I wash myself in snow... if I make my hands so white. (Job 9:30 NLT)
He would plunge me in the ditch... in the middle of the night. (Job 9:31 NLT)
My own clothes would hate me... for the filth that He would find. (Job 9:31 NLT)
And there is no one... to call the Power kind." (Job 9:32 NLT)
Job Ten: Why Contend with Me?
My soul is weary of my dreary life; (Job 10:1 NLT)
I give my bitter spirit leave to speak. (Job 10:1 NLT)
I say to God, Do not condemn my strife; (Job 10:2 NLT)
But show me why it is my soul is weak. (Job 10:2 NLT)
Does it seem good to oppress what You made? (Job 10:3 NLT)
To shine a light on counsels of the ill? (Job 10:3 NLT)
Are Your eyes flesh, or do Your visions fade? (Job 10:4 NLT)
Do You see time as mortal spirits will? (Job 10:4 NLT)
YOUR HANDS HAVE FRAMED AND FASHIONED ME IN FULL! (Job 10:8 NLT)
YET NOW YOU TURN TO CRUSH ME IN THE DUST! (Job 10:8 NLT)
YOU SPUN THE BONE AND WOVE THE HEART AND PULL! (Job 10:11 NLT)
YET BURY ALL MY HOPE AND ALL MY TRUST! (Job 10:11 NLT)
Remember that You made me out of clay; (Job 10:9 NLT)
And will You bring me back to dust again? (Job 10:9 NLT)
You poured me out like milk into the day; (Job 10:10 NLT)
And curdled me like cheese within my pain. (Job 10:10 NLT)
You clothed my bones with skin and knit my frame; (Job 10:11 NLT)
You granted life and favor to my face. (Job 10:12 NLT)
But hid these things within Your secret name; (Job 10:13 NLT)
I know that this is stored within Your place. (Job 10:13 NLT)
If I am wicked, woe unto my soul; (Job 10:15 NLT)
If righteous, yet I cannot lift my head. (Job 10:15 NLT)
For You hunt me like lions on the knoll; (Job 10:16 NLT)
And heap Your marvels on my bitter bed. (Job 10:16 NLT)
Why did You bring me from the mother’s womb? (Job 10:18 NLT)
Oh, would that I had perished in the dark. (Job 10:18 NLT)
To go from silent birth to silent tomb; (Job 10:19 NLT)
Without a soul to see the dying spark. (Job 10:19 NLT)
Job Eleven: Stretch Out the Heavens
Then Zophar spoke... A man of narrow sight. He brought the law to crush a broken heart. (Job 11:1 NLT)
Should not the multitude of words be met? (Job 11:2 NLT)
And should a man of talk be justified? (Job 11:2 NLT)
Your lies, they make the silent ones to sweat; (Job 11:3 NLT)
And shall no man rebuke you in your pride? (Job 11:3 NLT)
You say, "My doctrine, it is pure and fair; (Job 11:4 NLT)
And I am clean within the Maker’s sight." (Job 11:4 NLT)
But oh, that God would speak and lay you bare; (Job 11:5 NLT)
And open up His lips against your light! (Job 11:5 NLT)
CAN YOU BY SEARCHING FIND THE SECRET ONE? (Job 11:7 NLT)
CAN YOU FIND OUT THE END OF THE DESIGN? (Job 11:7 NLT)
IT’S HIGH AS HEAVEN! WHAT CAN THERE BE DONE? (Job 11:8 NLT)
IT’S DEEPER THAN THE GRAVE! BEYOND THE LINE! (Job 11:8 NLT)
The measure of it stays beyond the land; (Job 11:9 NLT)
It’s broader than the rolling of the sea. (Job 11:9 NLT)
If He cuts off, or gathers in His hand... (Job 11:10 NLT)
Then who can stay the force of His decree? (Job 11:10 NLT)
For He knows vain and empty men in full; (Job 11:11 NLT)
He sees the wicked in the secret place. (Job 11:11 NLT)
Will He not see the sin and make the pull? (Job 11:11 NLT)
And hide the light of favor from your face? (Job 11:11 NLT)
But the eyes of the wicked shall fail... and their hope shall be as the giving up of the ghost. Job... answer. (Job 11:20 NLT)
Job Twelve: Wisdom and Might
No doubt but you are the people... and wisdom... it shall surely die with you. (Job 12:2 NLT)
But I have understanding just as you; (Job 12:3 NLT)
I am not lower than your state or mind. (Job 12:3 NLT)
Who does not know these things you say are true? (Job 12:3 NLT)
The common truths that any soul can find. (Job 12:3 NLT)
I am as one who’s mocked by every friend; (Job 12:4 NLT)
Who calls on God and hears the silent air. (Job 12:4 NLT)
The just and upright man meets such an end; (Job 12:4 NLT)
While robbers prosper in their secret lair. (Job 12:6 NLT)
ASK NOW THE BEASTS! AND THEY SHALL TEACH YOU WELL! (Job 12:7 NLT)
THE FOWLS OF AIR! SHALL TELL YOU OF THE SKY! (Job 12:7 NLT)
SPEAK TO THE EARTH! AND HEAR THE TIDINGS SWELL! (Job 12:8 NLT)
THE FISH SHALL TELL YOU... HOW THE LIVING DIE! (Job 12:8 NLT)
With Him is wisdom and the mighty strength; (Job 12:13 NLT)
He has the counsel and the deep design. (Job 12:13 NLT)
Behold, He breaks a wall through all its length; (Job 12:14 NLT)
And none can build again the broken line. (Job 12:14 NLT)
He shuts a man within a darkened room; (Job 12:14 NLT)
And there is no releasing from the lock. (Job 12:14 NLT)
He sends the waters to a thirsty tomb; (Job 12:15 NLT)
Or floods the earth and sweeps away the rock. (Job 12:15 NLT)
He leads the counselors away... spoiled. He makes the judges... fools. Job... understands. (Job 12:17 NLT)
Job Thirteen: Though He Slay Me
Behold, my eye has seen all of these things; (Job 13:1 NLT)
My ear has heard and understood it well. (Job 13:1 NLT)
Whatever knowledge your small wisdom brings, (Job 13:2 NLT)
I know the same; no more have you to tell. (Job 13:2 NLT)
But surely I would speak to Almighty; (Job 13:3 NLT)
And I desire to reason with my God. (Job 13:3 NLT)
But you are forgers of a lie, I see; (Job 13:4 NLT)
Physicians of no value on this sod. (Job 13:4 NLT)
OH HOLD YOUR PEACE, AND LET ME HAVE MY SAY! (Job 13:13 NLT)
AND LET THERE COME ON ME WHATEVER WILL! (Job 13:13 NLT)
WHY DO I TAKE MY FLESH IN TEETH TODAY? (Job 13:14 NLT)
AND PUT MY VERY LIFE WITHIN THE KILL? (Job 13:14 NLT)
Though He should slay me, yet I trust Him still; (Job 13:15 NLT)
But I will maintain ways before His face. (Job 13:15 NLT)
He also shall be my salvation’s will; (Job 13:16 NLT)
For no false man shall stand within His grace. (Job 13:16 NLT)
Withdraw Your hand far from my shattered frame; (Job 13:21 NLT)
And let Your dread not make me feel afraid. (Job 13:21 NLT)
Then call to me, and I will speak Your name; (Job 13:22 NLT)
Or let me speak, and hear the plea I’ve made. (Job 13:22 NLT)
How many are my iniquities and sins? Make me to know transgression, and my sin, stands. (Job 13:23 NLT)
