He comes forth like a flower, cut away; (Job 14:2 NLT)

To bring me into judgement on this lot? (Job 14:3 NLT)
Who can bring forth a clean thing from the dust? (Job 14:4 NLT)
Not one! For all his numbered days are known. (Job 14:5 NLT)
The bounds are set in which he puts his trust; (Job 14:5 NLT)

Job Fifteen: Windy Words
Should wise men utter knowledge vain as wind? (Job 15:2 NLT)
And fill their belly with the eastern gale? (Job 15:2 NLT)
Should he dispute with words that have no end? (Job 15:3 NLT)
With speech that brings no profit to the veil? (Job 15:3 NLT)
Yea, you cast off the fear of Holy Law; (Job 15:4 NLT)
You stay the prayer before the face of God. (Job 15:4 NLT)
Your mouth proclaims the guilt and every flaw; (Job 15:5 NLT)
You choose the tongue of crafty men to plod. (Job 15:5 NLT)
YOUR OWN MOUTH CONDEMNS YOU! AND NOT I! (Job 15:6 NLT)
YOUR OWN LIPS TESTIFY AGAINST YOUR SOUL! (Job 15:6 NLT)
WERE YOU THE FIRST MAN BORN BENEATH THE SKY? (Job 15:7 NLT)

If you were broken, and I the king; (Job 16:4 NLT)

I’d speak a word to calm the air; (Job 16:5 NLT)
Not shake my head at your despair. (Job 16:5 NLT)
BUT GOD HAS TORN THE SUIT I WEAR! (Job 16:9 NLT)

Job Seventeen: My Spirit Broken
My spirit is broken... the graves are ready for me. (Job 17:1 NLT)

Lay down the pledge, let surety abide; (Job 17:3 NLT)

Job Eighteen: Snare of the Wicked
Why do you tear your soul in wrath? (Job 18:4 NLT)
Shall the earth be moved to clear your path? (Job 18:4 NLT)
The steps of your strength are closing in; (Job 18:7 NLT)
You are caught in the net of your own sin. (Job 18:8 NLT)
The snare is laid upon the ground; (Job 18:9 NLT)
The trap is set where you are found. (Job 18:10 NLT)
The gin shall take you by the heel; (Job 18:9 NLT)
And the robber comes to break the seal. (Job 18:9 NLT)
THE LIGHT OF THE WICKED IS PUT OUT! (Job 18:5 NLT)

Terrors shall drive you to your feet; (Job 18:11 NLT)

No son, no daughter, shall you meet. (Job 18:19 NLT)

Job Nineteen: I Know My Redeemer Lives
How long will you torment my soul? (Job 19:2 NLT)
And crush me with your words of old? (Job 19:2 NLT)
Ten times you have reproached my name; (Job 19:3 NLT)
Without a shred of honest shame. (Job 19:3 NLT)
If I have strayed, the path is mine; (Job 19:4 NLT)
But you have crossed the border line. (Job 19:4 NLT)
You raise yourselves against my face; (Job 19:5 NLT)
To find some reason for disgrace. (Job 19:5 NLT)
HAVE PITY ON ME, O MY FRIENDS! (Job 19:21 NLT)
FOR GOD HAS STRUCK ME WHERE IT ENDS! (Job 19:21 NLT)
WHY DO YOU CHASE ME LIKE THE BEAST? (Job 19:22 NLT)

The truth of what has come to be. (Job 19:24 NLT)
For I know my Redeemer lives; (Job 19:25 NLT)

Though skin is gone and worms decay; (Job 19:26 NLT)
In my flesh, I’ll see the day. (Job 19:26 NLT)
My eyes shall see Him... and not another. (Job 19:27 NLT)
My heart faints within me. (Job 19:27 NLT)
The judgment... is coming. (Job 19:29 NLT)
Job Twenty: Triumph of the Godless
My troubled thoughts provide an answer; (Job 20:2 NLT)
Because I am greatly disturbed. (Job 20:2 NLT)
I hear a rebuke that dishonors me; (Job 20:3 NLT)
But my spirit understands the word. (Job 20:3 NLT)
Surely you know how it has been of old; (Job 20:4 NLT)
Since mankind was placed on the earth. (Job 20:4 NLT)
The mirth of the wicked is very brief; (Job 20:5 NLT)
And a sinner’s joy has little worth. (Job 20:5 NLT)

He will fly away like a dream at night; (Job 20:8 NLT)

The eye that saw him will see him no more; (Job 20:9 NLT)

He will give back the wealth he swallowed down; (Job 20:15 NLT)

Job Twenty One: Why Do the Wicked Prosper
Listen closely to my words. (Job 21:2 NLT)
Let this be the comfort you give. (Job 21:2 NLT)
Bear with me while I speak. (Job 21:3 NLT)
Then you may mock how I live. (Job 21:3 NLT)
Why do the wicked live on? (Job 21:7 NLT)
Growing old and increasing in power? (Job 21:7 NLT)
They see their children established. (Job 21:8 NLT)
They dance until their final hour. (Job 21:11 NLT)
THEY SAY TO GOD... LEAVE US ALONE! (Job 21:14 NLT)
WE DO NOT WANT TO KNOW YOUR WAYS! (Job 21:14 NLT)
WHAT IS THE ALMIGHTY ON HIS THRONE? (Job 21:15 NLT)
THAT WE SHOULD SPEND OUR REMAINING DAYS? (Job 21:15 NLT)
IN PRAYER... TO A SILENT SKY. (Job 21:15 NLT)
How often is their lamp put out? (Job 21:17 NLT)
How often does ruin come their way? (Job 21:17 NLT)
Are they like straw before the wind? (Job 21:18 NLT)
Like chaff that the storm carries away? (Job 21:18 NLT)
One man dies in full vigor. (Job 21:23 NLT)
Completely secure and at ease. (Job 21:23 NLT)
Another dies in bitterness. (Job 21:25 NLT)
With a soul that never finds peace. (Job 21:25 NLT)
Side by side they lie in the dust. (Job 21:26 NLT)
Worms cover them both. (Job 21:26 NLT)
Your answers... remain falsehood. (Job 21:34 NLT)
Job Twenty Two: Return to the Almighty
Can a man be of any use to God? (Job 22:2 NLT)
Can even the wise be of any gain? (Job 22:2 NLT)
Does the Almighty care if you are righteous? (Job 22:3 NLT)
Does He profit from your perfect way? (Job 22:3 NLT)
Is it for your piety He mocks you? (Job 22:4 NLT)
Is it for your prayer He brings this day? (Job 22:4 NLT)
No... your wickedness is great and endless. (Job 22:5 NLT)
Your sins have no design and no delay. (Job 22:5 NLT)
SUBMIT TO GOD AND BE AT PEACE! (Job 22:21 NLT)
IN THIS WAY... PROSPERITY WILL COME! (Job 22:21 NLT)
IN THIS WAY... THE GOODNESS WILL BE WON! (Job 22:21 NLT)

You stripped your brothers for a debt. (Job 22:6 NLT)
You left the naked without a shred. (Job 22:6 NLT)
You gave no water to the weary soul. (Job 22:7 NLT)
You withheld the hungry man’s bread. (Job 22:7 NLT)
You sent the widow away empty-handed. (Job 22:9 NLT)
You broke the strength of the fatherless. (Job 22:9 NLT)
Therefore snares are all around you. (Job 22:10 NLT)
Sudden peril... in the dark abyss. (Job 22:10 NLT)
Return to the Almighty... (Job 22:23 NLT)

Job Twenty Three: Gold in the Fire
My complaint is bitter even today. (Job 23:2 NLT)
My hand is heavy, despite the groaning. (Job 23:2 NLT)
If I only knew where to find Him. (Job 23:3 NLT)
If only I could stand before His throne. (Job 23:3 NLT)
I would fill my mouth with every word. (Job 23:4 NLT)
I would state my case to the empty air. (Job 23:4 NLT)
I would see what He would answer me. (Job 23:5 NLT)
And learn the secret hidden there. (Job 23:5 NLT)
BUT HE KNOWS THE WAY THAT I TAKE. (Job 23:10 NLT)

WHEN THE FIRE HAS TESTED THE CORE... (Job 23:10 NLT)

I look to the east, but He is not there. (Job 23:8 NLT)

In the north He works, but I seek in vain. (Job 23:9 NLT)
In the south He hides His silent face. (Job 23:9 NLT)
But my feet have followed every step. (Job 23:11 NLT)

I have treasured the words He spoke to me. (Job 23:12 NLT)
In the hunger and the lack. (Job 23:12 NLT)

I am terrified at His presence. (Job 23:15 NLT)
Job Twenty Four: Hidden Injustices
Why does the Almighty not set a time for judgment? (Job 24:1 NLT)
Why do those who know Him seek His days in vain? (Job 24:1 NLT)
Men move the landmarks and they steal the flocks. (Job 24:2 NLT)
They drive the orphan’s donkey to the barren rocks. (Job 24:3 NLT)
They take the widow's ox as a debt to pay. (Job 24:3 NLT)
They push the needy off the public way. (Job 24:4 NLT)
The poor of the land must hide themselves together. (Job 24:4 NLT)
THERE IS A GROAN FROM THE CITY OF THE DYING! (Job 24:12 NLT)
AND THE SOUL OF THE WOUNDED IS CRYING OUT! (Job 24:12 NLT)
YET GOD CHARGES NO ONE WITH WRONG! (Job 24:12 NLT)
THE DARKNESS IS LOUD AND THE NIGHT IS LONG! (Job 24:12 NLT)
The murderer rises at the first break of day. (Job 24:14 NLT)
To kill the poor and walk his elegant way. (Job 24:14 NLT)
In the night he moves with the grace of a thief. (Job 24:14 NLT)
The eye of the adulterer seeks a dark relief. (Job 24:15 NLT)
They dig through houses in the quiet of the night. (Job 24:16 NLT)

Job Twenty Five: Dominion and Awe
Dominion and awe belong to the King. (Job 25:2 NLT)
He establishes peace in the heights above. (Job 25:2 NLT)
Can His armies be counted by any man? (Job 25:3 NLT)
Upon whom does His morning light not rise? (Job 25:3 NLT)
How then can a mortal be righteous with God? (Job 25:4 NLT)
How can one born of woman be pure? (Job 25:4 NLT)
The heavens are vast and the promise is sure. (Job 25:4 NLT)
BEHOLD... EVEN THE MOON IS NOT BRIGHT! (Job 25:5 NLT)
THE STARS ARE NOT PURE IN HIS SIGHT! (Job 25:5 NLT)
HOW MUCH LESS IS MAN... WHO IS BUT A MAGGOT! (Job 25:6 NLT)
A SON OF MAN... WHO IS ONLY A WORM! (Job 25:6 NLT)
A WORM IN THE LIGHT! (Job 25:6 NLT)
His power is absolute over the sky. (Job 25:2 NLT)

Job Twenty Six: Hanging the Earth on Nothing
How you have helped the powerless man! (Job 26:2 NLT)
How you have saved the arm without strength! (Job 26:2 NLT)
What counsel you give to one without wisdom! (Job 26:3 NLT)
What great insight you have shown at length! (Job 26:3 NLT)
To whom have you uttered these empty words? (Job 26:4 NLT)
Whose spirit spoke through your mouth today? (Job 26:4 NLT)
THE DEAD TREMBLE UNDER THE WATERS! (Job 26:5 NLT)
DESTRUCTION LIES NAKED BEFORE HIS SIGHT! (Job 26:6 NLT)
HE STRETCHES THE NORTH OVER EMPTY SPACE! (Job 26:7 NLT)
AND HANGS THE EARTH ON... NOTHING! (Job 26:7 NLT)
ON NOTHING! (Job 26:7 NLT)
He wraps the waters in His thick clouds! (Job 26:8 NLT)
The clouds do not burst under the weight! (Job 26:8 NLT)
He covers the face of the full moon! (Job 26:9 NLT)
Spreading His canopy... locking the gate! (Job 26:9 NLT)
These are but the outer fringe of His works. (Job 26:14 NLT)
How faint the whisper we hear of Him. (Job 26:14 NLT)
Who can understand... (Job 26:14 NLT)
The thunder... of His power? (Job 26:14 NLT)
Job Twenty Seven: The Hypocrite's Portion
As surely as God lives, who has denied me justice. (Job 27:2 NLT)
As the Almighty lives, who has made my soul bitter. (Job 27:2 NLT)
As long as my breath remains within me. (Job 27:3 NLT)
And the spirit of God is in my nostrils. (Job 27:3 NLT)
My lips will not speak any wickedness. (Job 27:4 NLT)
My tongue will utter no deceit today. (Job 27:4 NLT)
I WILL NEVER ADMIT YOU ARE RIGHT! (Job 27:5 NLT)
