How I long for the months gone by. (Job 29:2 NLT)
For the days when God watched over me. (Job 29:2 NLT)
When His lamp shone high above my head. (Job 29:3 NLT)

When the friendship of God felt like the dew. (Job 29:4 NLT)

Of what use was the strength of their hands? (Job 30:2 NLT)

Haggard from want and hunger; (Job 30:3 NLT)

My dignity is driven away like the wind. (Job 30:15 NLT)

Job Thirty One: Covenant of Innocence
I made a covenant with my eyes. (Job 31:1 NLT)
Not to look lustfully at a young woman. (Job 31:1 NLT)
For what is our lot from God above? (Job 31:2 NLT)
What is our heritage from the Almighty? (Job 31:2 NLT)
Does He not see my ways? (Job 31:4 NLT)
Does He not count my every step? (Job 31:4 NLT)
If I have walked with falsehood; (Job 31:5 NLT)
Or if my foot has hurried after deceit. (Job 31:5 NLT)
LET GOD WEIGH ME IN ACCURATE SCALES! (Job 31:6 NLT)
AND HE WILL KNOW THAT I AM BLAMELESS! (Job 31:6 NLT)
IF MY STEPS HAVE TURNED FROM THE PATH! (Job 31:7 NLT)
IF MY HEART HAS BEEN ENTICED! (Job 31:7 NLT)
THEN LET OTHERS EAT WHAT I HAVE SOWN. (Job 31:8 NLT)
LET MY CROPS BE UPROOTED. (Job 31:8 NLT)
If I have denied justice to my servants. (Job 31:13 NLT)
When they had a grievance against me. (Job 31:13 NLT)
What will I do when God confronts me? (Job 31:14 NLT)

Did not He who made me in the womb make them? (Job 31:15 NLT)
Did not the same One form us both? (Job 31:15 NLT)
If I have kept the poor from their desires; (Job 31:16 NLT)
Or let the eyes of the widow grow weary. (Job 31:16 NLT)

Job Thirty Two: Youth on Fire
So these three men stopped answering Job... (Job 32:1 NLT)
Because he was righteous in his own eyes. (Job 32:1 NLT)
But Elihu burned with anger. (Job 32:2 NLT)
Against Job for justifying himself. (Job 32:2 NLT)
And against the three friends... (Job 32:3 NLT)
Because they found no way to refute him. (Job 32:3 NLT)
I AM YOUNG AND YOU ARE OLD. (Job 32:6 NLT)

It is not only the old who are wise. (Job 32:9 NLT)
Not only the aged who understand what is right. (Job 32:9 NLT)
So I say: Listen to me. (Job 32:10 NLT)
I, too, will tell you what I know. (Job 32:10 NLT)
I waited while you spoke. (Job 32:11 NLT)
I listened to your reasoning. (Job 32:11 NLT)
I gave you my full attention. (Job 32:12 NLT)
But not one of you has proved Job wrong. (Job 32:12 NLT)

Job Thirty Three: God Speaks in Dreams
But now, Job, listen to my words. (Job 33:1 NLT)
Pay attention to everything I say. (Job 33:1 NLT)
I am about to open my mouth; (Job 33:2 NLT)
My words are on the tip of my tongue. (Job 33:2 NLT)
My heart speaks with sincerity; (Job 33:3 NLT)
My lips speak what I know to be true. (Job 33:3 NLT)
The Spirit of God has made me; (Job 33:4 NLT)
The breath of the Almighty gives me life. (Job 33:4 NLT)
ANSWER ME IF YOU CAN! (Job 33:5 NLT)
SET YOUR ARGUMENTS BEFORE ME! (Job 33:5 NLT)
I AM JUST LIKE YOU BEFORE GOD. (Job 33:6 NLT)
I TOO WAS TAKEN FROM A PIECE OF CLAY. (Job 33:6 NLT)
NO FEAR OF ME SHOULD ALARM YOU. (Job 33:7 NLT)
MY HAND SHOULD NOT REST HEAVY ON YOU. (Job 33:7 NLT)
But you have said in my hearing— (Job 33:8 NLT)
I heard the very words— (Job 33:8 NLT)
"I am pure, I am without sin; (Job 33:9 NLT)
I am clean, I am free from guilt." (Job 33:9 NLT)
Yet you say God finds fault with you; (Job 33:10 NLT)
That He counts you as His enemy. (Job 33:10 NLT)
He fastens your feet in shackles; (Job 33:11 NLT)
He keeps close watch on all your paths. (Job 33:11 NLT)
God speaks in one way— (Job 33:14 NLT)
Even in two—though man perceives it not. (Job 33:14 NLT)
In a dream... in a vision of the night. (Job 33:15 NLT)
To turn them from wrongdoing. (Job 33:17 NLT)
Listen to me. (Job 33:31 NLT)
Be silent... and I will speak. (Job 33:31 NLT)
Job Thirty Four: Justice Unperverted
Hear my words, you wise men; (Job 34:2 NLT)
Listen to me, you men of learning. (Job 34:2 NLT)
For the ear tests words... (Job 34:3 NLT)
As the tongue tastes food. (Job 34:3 NLT)
Let us choose for ourselves what is right; (Job 34:4 NLT)
Let us learn together what is good. (Job 34:4 NLT)
JOB SAYS: "I AM INNOCENT!" (Job 34:5 NLT)
"But God denies me justice." (Job 34:5 NLT)
"ALTHOUGH I AM RIGHT, I AM CONSIDERED A LIAR!" (Job 34:6 NLT)
"My wound is incurable, though I am without sin." (Job 34:6 NLT)
IS THERE ANYONE LIKE JOB? (Job 34:7 NLT)
WHO DRINKS SCORN LIKE WATER? (Job 34:7 NLT)
He keeps company with evildoers; (Job 34:8 NLT)
He walks with the wicked. (Job 34:8 NLT)
For he says: "It profits a man nothing... (Job 34:9 NLT)
To try to please God." (Job 34:9 NLT)
So listen to me, you men of understanding. (Job 34:10 NLT)
Far be it from God to do evil! (Job 34:10 NLT)
The Almighty... does no wrong. (Job 34:10 NLT)
Job speaks without knowledge. (Job 34:35 NLT)
The words... of Job. (Job 34:35 NLT)
Let him be tested to the limit. (Job 34:36 NLT)
Job Thirty Five: Cry of the Oppressed
Do you... think... this is just? (Job 35:2 NLT)
You say, "I am in the right before God." (Job 35:2 NLT)
Yet you ask Him, "What profit is it to me?" (Job 35:3 NLT)
"And what do I gain by not sinning?" (Job 35:3 NLT)
I will answer you... (Job 35:4 NLT)
And your friends who are with you. (Job 35:4 NLT)
LOOK UP AT THE HEAVENS... (Job 35:5 NLT)
AND SEE. (Job 35:5 NLT)
GAZE AT THE CLOUDS... HIGH ABOVE YOU. (Job 35:5 NLT)
IF YOU SIN... HOW DOES THAT AFFECT HIM? (Job 35:6 NLT)
IF YOUR SINS ARE MANY... WHAT DOES THAT DO TO HIM? (Job 35:6 NLT)
IF YOU ARE RIGHTEOUS... WHAT DO YOU GIVE TO HIM? (Job 35:7 NLT)
Your wickedness only affects humans like yourself. (Job 35:8 NLT)
Your righteousness only affects the children of men. (Job 35:8 NLT)
People cry out under a load of oppression. (Job 35:9 NLT)
They plead for relief from the arm of the powerful. (Job 35:9 NLT)
But no one says, "Where is God my Maker?" (Job 35:10 NLT)
"Who gives us songs... songs in the night." (Job 35:10 NLT)
HE DOES NOT ANSWER... (Job 35:12 NLT)
BECAUSE OF THE ARROGANCE OF THE WICKED. (Job 35:12 NLT)
God does not listen to empty pleas. (Job 35:13 NLT)
The Almighty pays no attention. (Job 35:13 NLT)
Job Thirty Six: Thunder of His Power
Bear with me a little longer. (Job 36:2 NLT)
And I will show you... (Job 36:2 NLT)
That there is more to be said on God’s behalf. (Job 36:2 NLT)
I get my knowledge from afar; (Job 36:3 NLT)
I will ascribe justice to my Maker. (Job 36:3 NLT)
Be assured that my words are not false; (Job 36:4 NLT)
One who has perfect knowledge is with you. (Job 36:4 NLT)
GOD IS MIGHTY! (Job 36:5 NLT)
BUT HE DOES NOT DESPISE MEN. (Job 36:5 NLT)

The clouds pour down their moisture; (Job 36:28 NLT)
And abundant showers fall on mankind. (Job 36:28 NLT)
Who can understand how He spreads the clouds? (Job 36:29 NLT)
How He thunders from His pavilion? (Job 36:29 NLT)
See how He scatters His lightning about Him. (Job 36:30 NLT)
Bathing the depths of the sea. (Job 36:30 NLT)
BEHOLD... GOD IS EXALTED BEYOND OUR KNOWLEDGE. (Job 36:26 NLT)
THE NUMBER OF HIS YEARS IS PAST FINDING OUT. (Job 36:26 NLT)
Listen to the thunder of His voice. (Job 37:2 NLT)
To the rumbling that comes from His mouth. (Job 37:2 NLT)
He unleashes His lightning... (Job 37:3 NLT)

Job Thirty Seven: Whirlwind Whispers
At this... my heart leaps. (Job 37:1 NLT)
And trembles within its place. (Job 37:1 NLT)
Listen! Listen to the thunder of His voice! (Job 37:2 NLT)
To the rumbling that comes from His mouth! (Job 37:2 NLT)
He unleashes His lightning... (Job 37:3 NLT)

The tempest comes out from its chamber; (Job 37:9 NLT)
The cold from the driving winds. (Job 37:9 NLT)
By the breath of God... ice is made. (Job 37:10 NLT)
The broad waters become frozen. (Job 37:10 NLT)
He loads the clouds with moisture; (Job 37:11 NLT)
